Design and Engineering
Met Erect used a combination of stainless steel and mild steel with a polyester powder coating, as well as 12m toughened glass.
There were a few challenges during the design phase. The structural design of the fire Escape had to be redesigned to accommodate the stairs. As there was no way tower crane on site we had to construct temporary beams and use lifting equipment. The pigeons were also a constant pest! The feature staircase required specialist lifting operations, as requested by the client.
